How to publish your video file

Truemag supplies 3 methods to create a video post.

  • Use Video URL from some Video Networks (Youtube, Vimeo..)
  • Use Embed code: you can embed video from any sites if that site provides embed code. ( <object>, <embed>, <iframe> )
  • Use Video File: You can use self-hosted video or direct video file link from other hosts.

In this article, we will give you quick instruction to use self-hosted video. Please follow the steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Media > Add New, upload your video file here. Then go to Media > Library, choose you video you just uploaded. copy the video URL. upload-file

Step 2: Go to Blog Posts > Add New, select Post Format is Video

Step 3: Scroll down to Post Settings, you can see Video File field, paste the copied link there and publish the post. video-file

Step 4. Go to Theme Options > Video Post/Video > Player for Video File. If you choose the 3rd players: JWplayer, FV Flow, Video.js, you would need to install and configure the plugins to support that player. Please choose WordPress Native Player if you want to use default wordpress player.
